1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LocateTrump.com ("the Site," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

LocateTrump.com is a free, publicly accessible website that tracks the publicly reported location of the President of the United States. Our service aggregates information from major news outlets including Reuters, CNN, Fox News, BBC, NBC News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, The Hill, and the official White House website. We use automated algorithms to analyze these reports, assign confidence scores, and display the president's most likely current location on an interactive map. The Site also provides historical location data, travel statistics, news feeds, blog content, and related informational features.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully:

  • Not real-time GPS tracking. LocateTrump.com does not use GPS, surveillance, or any form of direct location monitoring. All location data is derived from publicly available news reports.
  • Delays are inherent. There may be a delay of one hour or more between the president arriving at a location and our tracker reflecting that change, depending on how quickly news outlets publish their reports.
  • Confidence scores are estimates. The confidence percentage displayed with each location reflects our algorithm's assessment based on the number and reliability of corroborating news sources. It is not a guarantee of accuracy.
  • Predictions are speculative. The "Where Next?" prediction feature uses historical patterns to estimate the president's likely next location. These predictions are informational only and should not be relied upon for any purpose.
  • Data may be incomplete. Not all presidential movements generate news coverage. Some locations, particularly brief stops or private events, may not appear in our data.
  • We may be wrong. Despite our multi-source verification process, location determinations may occasionally be inaccurate. Always verify critical information through official White House communications.

4. No Government Affiliation

LocateTrump.com is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the White House, the Executive Office of the President, the United States Secret Service, any federal, state, or local government agency, or any political party or campaign. The use of the president's name and public information about presidential activities is protected under the First Amendment as commentary on matters of public interest. Our tracking of publicly reported presidential locations is a form of journalism and civic transparency.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use information from this Site to stalk, harass, threaten, or endanger any person, including the president or members of their family or staff
  • Use location data for any purpose that could compromise national security or presidential safety
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or APIs
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Site in a manner that degrades service for other users
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or republish substantial portions of our content without attribution
  • Use the Site to spread misinformation by presenting our estimated data as confirmed fact

6. Intellectual Property

The design, code, text, graphics, logos, and other content on LocateTrump.com are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The underlying presidential location data is derived from publicly available sources and is not proprietary. You may reference our data and link to our pages freely, and we encourage attribution when citing our statistics or tracking information. The interactive map is powered by Mapbox and is subject to Mapbox's terms of service.

7. Third-Party Content and Links

Our Site references and aggregates content from third-party news sources. We do not control the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party content. Links to external websites are provided for reference only, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. News source names referenced on our Site (Reuters, CNN, Fox News, BBC, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here solely to identify the sources of publicly available information.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that location data will be accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocateTrump.com and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, reliance on any information provided, or inability to access the Site. This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from decisions made based on location data, predictions, or statistics displayed on the Site.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocateTrump.com, its operators, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms of Service.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep LocateTrump.com available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hosting issues, or circumstances beyond our control. Our tracking pipeline runs hourly and depends on the availability of third-party news RSS feeds. If those feeds are unavailable, location data may not update on schedule.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from the use of this Site shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction within the United States.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
